Have you buy to Hamilton and Palmer? Indeed, ihave some difficulty to adding new handset to the system.

Nobody can help me?

This is the learning instructions :

Disarm the system and immediately turn the ignition (so have i to be already in the car to desactive alarm and trun imediately the ignition? ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON (so i have to turn the ignition with my key to star contact?) and within 10 seconds, press the raised button of an existing handset 3 times. The system will respond by: Illuminating the vehicle indicators Illuminating the system LED The system is now in key learn mode Press the raised button of the new handset once and the system LED will extinguish. Press the raised button of the new handset once again and the vehicle indicators will extinguish. This signifies completion of handset learning. NB: If no handsets are programmed onto the system, it will revert back to normal mode after 15 seconds. If you want to add more handsets, simply repeat the above process. There are five memory places in the alarm system for handsets, therefore, there can only be a maximum of five handsets working on the system at any one time. If a sixth handset is added, it will simply overwrite an existing valid handset.

When those models were imported into the UK, Honda UK fitted a CAT-1 standard alarm and immobiliser (from Hamilton & Palmer) that links into the Honda (Japan) original and controls doors, boot, alarm and immobiliser.

Therefore you *can* use the Japanese original to unlock the doors and boot, *but* if you open any of the doors or boot the UK alarm will activate. Only the UK fitted device will deactivate the alarm and immobiliser.

Note: Later models have a different alarm fitted - not the H&P device - commonly know as a P.o.S.
So there is a boot release on the 2 button H&P fob? I didn't think I had one so always use the key or climb inside and press the button in the centre console

How do you get it to pop the boot release?

Cheers.

Did you mean RTFM?

I haven't and won't. I'm a man so it's against my religion to read a manual

I'll give that technique a try though, thanks

Hi I'm a newbie to the site and have just purchased a key fob off ebay. I have a 2006 car and the fob doesn't appear to work with it (although the ebayer only supplied the technique 1 description), I'll try the second one later...

Heres the advert :-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

Would this fob ever work on a S2000? The seller is saying I bought the wrong thing and isn't offering a refund. Bit of a scam I think because he knows this doesn't work - you can see this from his response :-

"hi you can judge yourself as to why it is not working as you said you have 1,open both of thems back cover and look at the circuit board what number is written on yours and the other one, thats why i always written check compatability before buying, people make mistake like this they see the photo and it looks the same then they bid they don't check the part number which is important, honda has made them like that.i can tell you myself on yours it will say 344"

Anyone help me out? I just want some collateral to get my money back and buy the one mentioned on this site!

Thanks!
