Default Ebay OEM Cat

So all i've done since starting my S2000 ownership 3 months ago seems to be fixing annoying problems. My car clearly hadn't spent alot of time in the Vtec zone before my ownership so now the CAT has developed a death rattle.

The advise seems to be to get a Berk HFC @ around £260, but can anyone tell me if the patent part CAT's on ebay are any good ?

I'm not trying to be tight about it, but I don't need a HFC for the power, just as a replacement for OEM.

Check the bolts on the cat heat shield haven't rusted and fallen out. Very common problem and cheap and simple fix.

Just get a second hand one, they won't fit properly imo and they are an unknown quality. My last one covered over 100k.

I had a death rattle cat too, turns out it was missing two bolts.
Lift the car up and have a look, could save yourself a lot of money!

Had the car over a pit at work, all the bolts seem tight (what size are they? So much rust I couldn't get any socket on them)
Given it a bang with a rubber hammer a few time and you can hear it rattling inside

If your heat shields are not causing the rattle, then I would go OEM S/H or Berk hi-flow, i'm pretty sure that the OEM is a hi flow any way, I would not buy the one's you listed as the mating flange that fasten's to the manifold is incorrect, there was a thread where someone had a cracked down pipe because of this, plus they need to flow correctly

Well the BERK HFC isn't all that much more expensive than a used OEM Cat so rather than taking a chance on the unknown quality of a used item I might as well spend £100 more and get a new quality item.

On that note, who can flog me a 63mm Berk for the cheapest price ?

Cheers/
