Default ECU issues after battery replacement

I took my first steps along the road to becoming a mechanical guru by replacing my battery this afternoon.

I've now noticed that the engine is struggling to find idle quickly.

If I blip the throttle the engine revs drop so low the engine almost cuts out before it finds the correct idle revs.

Does the ECU have to re-learn what it knew before?

How long will this take?

Cheers

Nick

Thanks!

I hope my ECU is a fast learner, however first signs are that it's the class dunce.

Will take 1/2 hour to an hour of driving to sort itself out - recharged mine after it went flat and it did the same

Do a search for the idle learn process.

I'm surprised that you know about it Mikey.

I thought your approach to a flat battery was to go buy a new S.

I have had to disconnect the S battery a few times with my history of mods!
