Default Electric windows!

Just did an ECU reset and I checked the windows. I had to re-program the drivers to go all the way down at one press and also to go back up all the way after one press.

I tried the passenger window, the solenoid clicked and it went down. I then pressed the button for it to go up and it didn't. You couldn't hear the solenoid click at all! I pressed down and the solenoid clicked. Now the car is stuck outside with the window down! I haven't got a garage!

Please help!

PS - I've tried flicking the window lock switch on the drivers door card, still no joy!

Sounds like you may have bust a fuse doing your Ice install. Either that, or you may have nudged something if you fitted door speakers?

Get checking the fuses! Although I would have though it would have been a common fuse for both sides...

Very strange that it went down, but doesn't want to go up!

I'll quickley whack the door card off before the sun goes down!

I suppose it may have 4 connections, positive, negative, wire for motor one way and another for the motor to turn the other?

Back in 10 mins!!!!!

Ok if it went down and not up something will pro have been nudged.

You might well find your speakers and window are touching when in the down position. Happened on one of my Impreza's once.

Sorted! The plug had becone loose than plugs in to the door card! Phew!

I've tested the windows and they don't touch the speaker. I did use 3/4" MDF spacers when I installed my new 17cm Pioneers!

Problem over!

I just hope my Warning light doesn't come on again!

ACTUALLY - could it have came on if the window plug had become loose?
