Engine buzzing
Standard exhaust. I did this buzzing on every gear change on the way to the garage thia morning but as soon as the mechanic came out - silent as the lambs!
Looked a fool, hope it stays quiet!

If it is one of the heatshields, it can be from either them not being on tight, or from a failure. Several off them are made from a few layers, spot welded together. If one of the spot welds fail, they start buzzing.

Do you know if you have the original clutch plate? Sounds like it could be that. There was a dealer recall on the original due to buzzing at 4000-ish rpm from the trabsmission tunnel - in my case it was most pronounced when lifting off from 5000rpm downwards.
Dealer should replace this (for the improved "055" clutch plate) for free.

Do you need to find exactly the right revs to replicate the problem? If so, I agree that heatshield is most likely the problem. Common with CTRs and not so common with S2s. One method to fix is just bend it a little.
