Engine flush?
If you have trouble undoing a filter then stap it with a long scredriver.
I never use a tool on the oil filters, they should only be done up hand tight, so should also undo by hand.
As Mr Spoon said, NEVER use engine flush, it removes the deposits that have built up to seal the engine.
If you are concerned about getting all the crap out then do an oil change with cheap oil (good spec still) then a couple of hundred miles later do another change with decent oil.
I do mine every 3000 miles anyway so the oil generally stays clean.

okay so stay well away from engine flushes lol.
i tend to avoid the stab with screwdriver idea, thats usually the last resort. the chain tool usually works very well... well did in the old pug but now come to the s its bit difficult! should of picked up my other oil filter remover but i didnt at time! learn to next time though.
as to only being done hand tight.... i know but i'be only had the s a month now so its an inherited problem that i guess the last honda service did.
even after 3k/3 months miles it tends to be some what black!

i change my oil every 4.5k miles. filter normally comes off no problems. have a long cup of tea whilst the oil drains out.
just remember when putting the filter on, place a bit of oil on the new seal and then handtighten only.
