Default Engine malfunction ?

A few weeks ago I got an engine malfunction light on. It would not clear so I took the car in. The answer was

fault code p0122 tp sensor voltage low, which they said was the fuel block. Reset it and it hasn't come back.

The only unusual thing I can think of is that on the previous filling I noticed that the fuel cap was not fully sealed although I had definitely clicked it down. The screw gets tighter to turn, clicks and stops rotating, but well before it is all the way home. I now resort to holding & turning the whole structure whilst screwing the cap down.

Could it be that there is a lack of vacuum in the tank or something that could cause this error? I have found other posts that mention the cap not sealing properly can cause problems. Expensive way to find out as I presume there is no way of reseting the indicator myself.

Most fault codes clear if the fault goes away. The ECU continually checks parameters, but can take a short while before it clears.

I'd be surprised if it's related to the fault you had on the throttle sensor though. That fault code is normally given if the signal from the TPS is too low when it's closed. Probably a blip, unless any work has been done on it lately.
