Default Check fuel cap message

Anyone ever have this message come on ? I guess I didn't tighten the fuel cap all the way.

The dealer said it may take over a week to stop displaying. Guess I learn something new every day

Did you try resetting the ECU? If you did reset it and the CEL came back you might have a problem either with the cap or the filler tube.

LOL yeah that's a nice one for 06+'s

3 clicks is not enough. I've been doing more than that and it never came back. You can't reset it. Just wait it out. It takes a few car starts for it to go away.

I just hit the button for a different view even though it reappears when I start up the car.

If you pull the "back up" fuse, it won't reset the code?
