Default Engine Management Options?

What does everybody who has replaced there OEM ECU use?

Is there one that is better for the 04+ or is there a specific brand that performs better?

Does anybody use the AEM Series 2? - http://www.aemelectronics.com/engine...ent-system-30/

All help appreciated

AEM for earlier cars. Flashpro for later drive by wire cars.

Loads of threads about both of these if you search around.

Well so far the mod list on the engine stands at:

Berk De-Cat Pipe.
Buddy Club Header.
Buddy Club Dual Prospec 3 Exhaust.
Custom catch can system, with welded connections to the valve cover.
Greddy Oil Cooler and MOCAL thermostat system.
AEM UEGO Wideband Gauge.

So im thinking possibly look at a ECU to get the most out of the mods so far?

I am thinking about getting a AEM FIC controller, it is a mini piggy back ECU that controls injection and timing I think. It is mappable and should unleash some power from basic mods like breathing...I am told.

Much cheaper than the AEM Programmable ECU!

Standalone if you want best results, or use a greedy emanage ultimate which I'd use which is a piggyback.

Well the FIC was only £400 mapped which was the attraction, don't want to spend another fortune on mods!

If you dont want to spend a fortune I'd get a greddy emanage ultimate, I've had good success with it and will do everything you need it to do. I've mapped it myself though.
