Default Engine serial code

On page 16 of the "above." service manual, it's shows the engine serial number as being slightly under the coolant bleed nipple, behind the aux belt tensioner.

Why can't I see it!!!

It's slightly under the inlet manifold and almost f ucking impossible to read without removing the latter!

Best of luck...

Like Nick said, it's hard to notice. I spent an hour looking for mine last year.

Can you use a mirror to see it? I looked before as i was curious but gave up quick enough. Also is there anyway to check if its the original engine as well? Mines a JDM....

The serial no. would be the way to check if it's the original engine

That's exactly the guidance I needed!

So if I was looking at the inlet side of the engine, it would be around under cylinder number one's port?

Yours should just be a F20C and not an F20C2
