Engine swap
Well car is back with another engine.
It all seems ok so far, although have noticed a slight sticking in revs, remember old engine uses to sit at 1000 revs idle, now sits around 1500 and a little blurt of acc pedal brings her back down to 1000!
Maybe a touch of wd40 may help!?

Idle learn procedure is as follows (taken from the service manual):
- Make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio, rear window defogger, lights, etc.) are turned off.
- Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000rpm with no load (in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, or the engine coolant temperature reaches 176F (80C) - 212F (100C).
- Let the engine idle for about 5 minutes with the throttle fully closed and with all electrical items off.

Indeed.
The ECU has a 10min learning cycle when the car should be started and then left completely alone for a minimum of 10 mins.
Might be worth resetting the ECU and trying this.
