Ever wondered what a S2K's top speed is?
#21
Had the Chimaera over 160mph on the clock (hoplessly inaccurate but I would reckon close on 150 mph actual) and to used have a company Rover 620Ti which I got up to 155 mph on the clock (alleged book top speed 142 mph). In both cases, top speed was only maintained for about a mile and at a "quiet" time on an undisclosed motorway. As Busamav says, things are happening pretty fast at those speeds so you do have to get used to it.
When in the Rover, the only car I overtook was a girl in a old Renault 5 doing the legal limit. Probably gave her the fright of her life, which in itself is a very good reason for not doing that kind of thing too often. That and the fact that if you did get caught in the UK, you're history ...
Good fun though

Was definitely on the continent somewhere - but I saw a blue-and-white horizontally-striped flag zip past at the beginning: Hellas (Greece?)
I thought that last lorry came up plenty quick enough!!
Kelk: The dutiful son thing: surfing the web when you should be getting @r$ed on sherry and playing daft party games??? Me too - but my Parental Unit are not so archaic

Vracing header, full exhaust line, uncatalysed
Mugen ECU, thermostat, radiotor cap

I must confess to 141 mph in my S - However this was on a relatively new piece of dual carriageway with nice flat tarmac. It was also in the interests of preserving the S's reputation against others!!
I would definitely NOT try it on 99.9% of the UK roads.

146 on the M1, felt quick enough for me and the car was still pulling. I was casually overtaking a porsche boxter and wasnt about to give up!!! I think i'll wait till summer time to see if I can top that, is the quoted speed 155?

It is part of the Mugen cooling mods that are essential when using a Mugen ECU.

when using a mugen ecu you should also use the mugen intake, header, and exhuast.... since the mugen ecu was tuned and made to work in conjunction with their parts...
