Exhaust mod
I have a 38mm I/D with test pipe... Sounds awesome apart from when you have a head to head with something faster, it sounds like you're trying too hard, but failing... Of course, only on track :S
Right-o, i guess im going to have to do this mod then when i come to putting it back together. (hurry up bushes)

Sorry Mikes that's a resounding no! I hated the zaust mod with a test pipe, the bugle sounds poop (IMO!) which is why I got a Berk HFC.
It's just about as good as you can get without replacing the OEM system

To do this mod, I understand you weld the pipe but do you drill holes in the exhaust at the pipe locations before you weld the pipe on? You must have to drill or cut a hole otherwise you would just be adding a pipe without an air path. Is thete a DIY for this anywhere?
Like japcrap, I don't mind a journey as well; if recommended by a member here.
Mine is tegiwa test pipe with 20mm (i think) pipe mod the rest is standard. The 20mm means at low/crusing revs you hardly notice the noise at all but when you put your foot down it make a louder but not over the top noise but this i suppose its to personal preffrence im glad i didnt go larger as i don't want my eardrums vibrating at normal crusing speed but again to personal preffrence.

Nice1 thanks for the tip; so I guess I'll go for 22mm being all stock with just a Berk HFC..
