I have Tanabe mediallion touring exhaust. I always get 89DB at static 6000rpm test on trackdays but the car sound great from the outside.

The BuddyClub would be the cheapest out of those, HKS does come up from time to time second hand on here, Mugen is very rare and I can't say I've ever seen anyone in the UK with a Legalis-R.

All are available through Hond-R in Oxford.

EDIT: Forgot about Blueflame as well, they're nice and quiet as well as very reasonably priced.
In case anyone reads it, OP delivers.

After Passing an MOT in the winter with the exhaust roped on to the car, the pipe finally cracked, the silencer separated from the pipe and the S2k went into the garage while I pondered/gathered cash.

Finally called up Hond-R. Agreed on a Legalis-R + and AEM v2 intake, because vtec... Got a call back saying they had an RM-01 in the UK already. Thought about it. Bought it. Lashed the exhaust up with epoxy putty for the trip.

So now have Fujitsubo RM-01 + AEMv2 intake. This. Sounds. Awesome.

Quiet at idle, burble at low revs. Bit of resonance at 3k. I can now actually hear when the VTEC solenoid moves. Then all you hear is roar.

Think it's made it a bit more tail happy at low revs. A little extra torque goes a long way. It's also lowered the fuel economy, but that's nothing to do with the Exhaust

Thumbs up to Hond-R.

Has anyone any experience of Vortex exhausts? I don't know what the price is like but they have 2 different styles and claim 10% increase in torque and bhp. I don't know what their prices are like.

May I throw the Megan OE-RS into the discussion? Well silenced, with bungs so you can make it quieter or louder. I'm not going to say it doesn't have any drone (lets face it, everything does) but its very minimal and I don't notice anything if I'm driving with the radio on. Nice big silencers so it's quite good.

HKS hi power drones like a stuck pig in my experience , sold mine after 6 months it was truly awful at just the point where one is driving around normally on normal roads , so most of the time , just under 3000 rpm , the OEM works because it's properly designed and manufactured. Maybe heavy though , but lightness and efficiency are most likely mutually exclusive.
