Default F**##ing intake

Anybody else have this problem ive had the car a month now my first intake split buy the cam cover take off and now this its only been on two weeks help please

Using the wrong clamps and overtightening them is the cause of that failure.

Yeah that clamp looks far too brutal for that intake arm. It's not mega tough - or thick - rubber!

If cars could type, it'd be writing a thread entitled 'fecking new owner!'

A regular jubilee clip will suffice, and are available in Halfords or from any competent mechanic; most motoring enthusiasts will have a good stock too.

Lol ok ok shoot the newbie

Ive relised the clamp was to tight and has done this damage ive put the old one back on with a regular jubliee that ive found in the garage until i can get a new one.

Also looks like you need one for the smaller vac pipe whilst you are doing them

LOL! That's one of those Mikalor heavy duty clamps. We use them at work to secure piping that runs 3-4 bar of water pressure. All you need is a standard Jubilee clamp and just nip it tight.
