Dont know if this is a popular site but it would seem that the S2000 is getting spanked alot! Does anyone have any descent times that they could post??? just to make me feel better.
Yeah its a relatively newish site, I first come across it a good few months ago and its always being updated with new lap times etc ...

I think its quite cool, just seeing what cars have done what, on various tracks etc.

Actually, it would differ slightly between cars according to drag co-efficient (which is why a feather falls more slowly than a ball-bearing). Put them both in a vacuum and they fall at the same speed.

That site is a load of bollocks. I tried several comparisons with the S2000, all of which alleged the S was slower.

Take this comparison with an 2.0 Audi TT. The S ought to win, and indeed all the stats below suggest it did, and yet, due to their unexplained "track performance" score, it's pipped at the post.

I think it's the top gear lap that knackered that up!

When you watch that lap as we'll it does look a bit setup dare I say.

I'm an admin on fastestlaps.com so can give a bit more background on the site...... its designed and run by an enthusiast who wanted to pull together as many proven lap times as possible as it hadn't been done before.

The comparison feature ie. "X car is faster" is still in its infancy (and should be taken with a pinch of salt) and I think the calculation is based on the difference in lap times and straight line speed so the Top Gear wet lap won't have helped in this case as I don't think the difference between wet and dry has been factored in.

I personally think the site is worth supporting as it can be a very good source of info if you like to know how a car performs on track..... and if you do have any other S2000 lap times let me know!!!!!

Genuinely, can someone remind me to do the top gear lap test at some point. I may well screw it up, but I've been meaning to do it for a while. I may not be the fastest S, but I'm certainly up there.
