Well, this prompted me to hookup the Geniscan GS100 to the MY06, if there are no fault codes it will just report that, however all I can get is "Error!".
I'm pretty sure it's connected OK, tried various combinations of hooking it up with the ignition key in different positions (engine never started) and it still fails. The manual is fairly specific in what to do.
I mailed the ebay seller and in his broken English the reply was to the effect that the ECU protocol may have changed and that it may need a GS300/400.
I may try and get along to a meet to see if it works on older models.
Will report back with what I find.

I have recently had an ABS sensor replaced by a non Honda garage.

They didn't have the tool to reset the light so willing to be a test car and would be interested in purchasing if it works too.
