Default Feeler Guages

Any recommendation on the feelers to buy (I know angled, etc). But when I look at the options available for intake/exhaust the feelers I can see to buy are at the limits of the ranges:

e.g. intake = 0.21 - 0.25mm but I'm only finding feelers for 0.212mm and 0.254 mm.

I've not done this before?

Suggestions?

You need a set of metric feeler gauges. Those sizes you're quoting are imperial equivalents.
Having said that, I wouldn't be worrying about an error of 2 or 4 thousands of a millimetre!

Intake: 0.008" to 0.010"
Exhaust: 0.010" to 0.011" or 0.012" (Billman recommendation for DBW cars).

Since valve clearance tightens with use I set mine at the high end of the range.

These will work. These will work.

Try to find the valve adjusting tool. Amazon USA has it, don't know about the UK.

Details here.

This! Make sure you have 7 and 11 thou if possible, too. So you can use them for 'go/no-go' checks.

I found a set on amazon that covered all the bases:
Amazon Amazon

It went up in 0.001 increments from 0.005. The previous set I got started at 0.007, skipped 0.008 and 0.011

Make sure you get angled ones too. Much easier.
