Fenland Breakers - Anyone had any problems?
I recently used Fenland breakers and the parts were damaged. I have called them several times, talking to Gary and he just keep telling me different stories and never agree to refund my money. DO NOT use or trusts Fenland breakers. Looks like I will have to pay a solicitor to sort this out.
I agree with the comments above in principal, re: parts end of business par excellence, admin end variable.
I use A LOT of breakers' parts for my other car and usually find that the best way to go is to rock up on the day with the tools, remove the part yourself (having made damn sure it's the right bit and in good nick) then pay in cash and walk away.
The ONLY other way that I would entertain buying parts from a breaking vehicle is via ebay, payment via paypal or cash on collection/delivery. That way, at least you have some recourse in the event of a dispute.
Inevitably, there will be excellent breakers out there, whose admin is without fault, but IMO, this has not been the case. Equally, the more of a rapport you build up with a breaker, the better your results - if you're sending a part to a mate, you get it right, right?
