That is a good "building block" system. It will make a major difference over the stock stuff!
Don't forget the 20A battery feed. The rest uses the honda wiring looms!

Installed most of mine today, just need to get the speakers in

Didn't realise it would need a seperate battery feed?!

Think I will have to get this fitted professionally unless there is anyone in the Leeds area who would give me a hand for the price of a couple of pints and my good company

I didn't run a battery feed on my Alpine unit (9843). Should be ok unless you're going to be running amps and the like IMO

I think Mike has already done something with the wiring, he seemed to think it would all plug straight in with no worries...

Neither did I and I just used a permanent live from the fuse box. Never had a problem

Me being fussy the Alpine manual states a permanent feed from the battery.
I am amped up so I did it to the letter.
If you are using the internal amp you may be alright with either Bass's or Steve's approach - try it. Its not difficult to change it! The unit will come with a bit of cable and the fuse holder built into its loom.

MrV has a valid point but this means a bit more work and thought, I didn't leave those cables in !!

Don't get too hung up on the install of this system - it is very straight forward. A bit worrying first time but you'll be fine!

HU will plug in to KCE which plugs in to Honda loom.
If Steve and Bass are right all you need to do is plug in the earth in (I left the cable there!)
Now whip the door cards off
Unscrew the Honda speakers (you will need an adaptor to go from the Honda speaker connectors to the Alpines!)
The baskets and mounting holes are already set up for 6.5" speakers!
Refit panels!
Job Done

Now get out there and drive it James
I'm off to try out my new Volks and geo!

Top man Mikey!

I'm actually going to give it a nice wash and give the rear window and wheels special attention.

Just waiting for the sun to move around so its not on the car when I do it.
