Default Finally got insured!

So its been a long time coming! But I'm back! From my insurance point blank refusing to insure me to phoning and offering me a policy! They also give me an extra ncd as an apology!
They just make it up as they go along don't they?

Yep, bastards do as they please, and they squeeze your wallet as hard as they can.

i feel your pain.
i had so much fun setting up my policy as all my NCD was on a company car policy (so they wouldn't accept it). However they were happy to then penalise me for a no fault claim made on the same company car insurance several years previously.
Talk about taking with one hand and then taking more with the other.

After 2 years on my own policy they have sent me a nice renewal to say that going from 1 to 4 years NCD (a deal i managed to do with them) my policy would drop by £45.
Rang a few other companys and managed to drop it another £200 with cheaper excess. Still way to expensive for my age and never having had an accident, but better than it was 2 years ago when i got the car.

(Is it any wonder so many people run a car without insurance these days??)

It's for exactly that reason (at least in part anyway) that your premiums are so bloody expensive

Oh I agree. It's an awful catch 22. The premiums are so high that people don't get insurance, which then drives up the price for people that do.
