Get the bushes greased before they seize.
Get the geo done.
Get the airbox lid off.
Get some driving lessons... as I'll wager the car has more capability than you have talent.

and welcome!

+1 for the bushes and geo . Mods are kind of a personal choice, there are plenty of cars on here with a variety of mods done. I'd have a mooch around the various different threads and look at users mods and see what tickles your fancy.

My starting point was a decent Head Unit (followed in quick succession by speakers, amp and sub) and a K&N intake. I've run out of pocket money for the time being, so that's where I stopped.

Welcome

As per all of the above really...suspension bolts and bush greasing is an absolute must IMO.

The site has a good search facility, where you can filter the results by date to find what you're looking for, rather than asking the same n00b questions

The FAQ is very good too, well worth reading through one evening:

Thanks for the advice, the car has only done just over 9000 miles

so can i just grease the bushes or still get them removed and greased. Any recommended grease to use

i have seen that i need some grease for the roof joints as its convertible, so will buy some of that

also will buy some window cleaner for the room as recommended

never had a RWD car so its going to be interesting

Some advice

You have gone from terminal understeer to initial understeer followed by violent oversteer. Unskilled attempts to fix this by either twirling the wheel or mashing the throttle into the carpet will result in a dead S2000

Do ALL your braking before the corner and remember you have NO weight over the driven wheels.

Start slow, enjoy the drive, allow yourself to be overtaken by FWD Gti type stuff until you have a feel for the car and how it handles.

Other than that, enjoy it and get the roof down whenever you can

It's true

There are not many on here who can really drive the S to the limit.

I know I can't.
Track days, track tuition, airfield tuition etc - all improves the driver skill and enjoyment of the car.

Oh and something like Ridedrive could be of value too.
