W6DAN, will knock something up in the garage this weekend
Zero, It is very illegal to use different letters ie. D instead of O.
However, in plate terms O is the same shape as 0 any way!
Mike.

Do any of you own a Japanese import? as if you do you are now legaly allowed to use smaller front number plates instead of the larger standard UK one's.
How good is that

Thanks for the replies guys. I think the copper was bored and that is why he pulled me over. He was fine with the spacing, mine is S200C AP, his only issue was with the size of the front plate.
Never had any problems other than that day so plate will stay in place
(Please ignore the finger) As you can see the plate is rather small

Those silver bolt type things that you can just see either side of you no plate, what are they. I have chopped my no plate down and am now left with like bolt type things in the same place (Sorry, I'm not technical) and I wanna remove em, how did you do that ?

Over here you see number plates with all sorts of fonts - my concern is that they will end up spoiling the fun for everyone else - I just use silver on black plates as they don't stand out as badly as reflective and they're standard size characters and spacing.
Will the cameras be able to pick these up? - guess I'll find out at SM3 Also, what about older cars where I think it's perfectly legit to have the licence plate according to how it was "in the olden days".
