Default Finding Reverse and 2nd when cold

Finding reverse and 2nd when the engine is cold is SOOOO hard in my car - is this normal? As soon as I've done a couple of miles, things are fine.

Thanks

Dave

Never had a problem with reverse, 2nd is a bit stiff till it's warmed up (match the revs and it will go though) worth trying some new gearbox oil if it hasn't been replaced for a while.

Always a bit of a push to get into second when it's cold.

Very notchy when cold as soon as warms up alot smoother ,

Reverse always a little difficult to get in only because not used to pushing down!

no probs with mine, but do occasionally go into 6th instead of reverse - I have not even had the car a week which is my excuse - If I am still doing this in a month I will give the car away

I have always found that 1st gear is a bit of a bitch when cold, but the box is generally notchy when cold... its much better in the 04 though.
