Default Fire extinguisher

Hi, just after some thoughts and advise please.
Looking to do a track day at Spa later this year and one of the stipulations is that you have to have a fire extinguisher fitting.

can anyone suggest a suitable extinguisher please?
I did a search and found this discussion
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/108...#entry23183582
But it's mostly a debate about which is best between foam and powder extinguisher, not where to get and how to fit.

The only place I can think to put in the cabin, is on the cross member in front of the passenger seat.

Thanks

The first S2000 I looked at had a fire extinguisher mounted in the passenger footwell on the side.

I've never heard of it being a requirement for a trackday.

Thanks, was that on the outside or transmission tunnel?
Spa is the only circuit this track day company say you need one fitted. Think it's something to do with local law.

Or they looked on here and saw the threads about oil filters coming loose.

I've done 9 track days at Spa and have never been asked to have a fire extinguisher in the car.

Cars registered in Belgium have to have one for use on public roads: http://www.rac.co.uk/driving-abroad/belgium which is probably where the confusion arises.

...which is why mine has one. Civic VTi did, too.

Probably a damp squib after all these years, though. Might as well try pissing on it.

Pretty sure you don't need one as others have said. If you do get one make sure it is fixed in the clamp and not just pushed into a spring clip, you want an overlocking fastener, you really don't want that bloody thing flying around in the event of an accident.

Thanks guys.
I know I do need one as I have checked with the organisers.
Any ideas of a good one to get, I'll have to figure out where to for once I know how big it is.
