What I actually said was that it looked fine when it was removed, in the context of there not being any rust on it - which various doomsayers had said it would be caked in.

I never claimed it was like new when it came off my car, Rob!

IMO the best first mods are:
1. Glove box organiser - superbly useful and cheap
2. Air box cover off
3. Don Palmer creative car control day (mod the driver not the car)

then see how that goes and later perhaps add some fancy kit on to it.

No , when you fit the spoon i replaces the whole air box I believe. Try it before you fit the CAI .

The Spoon CAI doesn't replace the whole airbox - it is a "snorkel" type CAI which connects to the airbox and then runs down the front of the radiator and sucks in air lower down.

It is held in place though by the airbox lid - so you won't be able to run airbox lid off whilst the Spoon intake is fitted.
