Mr T. is slightly incorrect here...

I have run without the box lid on for over a week with no problems...The clip at the bottom and the fact it has nowhere to go stops it from moving.

I stand corrected, Del - I tried it with my AusS2000 intake, which is pretty much a direct copy of the Spoon, and found it wouldn't stay exactly in place. I figured the same must be true of the Spoon too.

Still, I'm not sure why you'd want to - surely taking the airbox lid off negates the effect of having a snorkel CAI in the first place, since you're back to sucking in hot air from the engine bay, rather than cooler air from lower down?

Where did you get the HKS from and how much was it ?

I'm toying with the idea as a you are not a million miles away from me, maybe I can follow suit

Seems the next step for me too and I have a bonus burning a hole !!
