Yes I have .
I put a Typhoon on instead of the Gen2 and HKS Silent Hi Power which is nice but there's a Decat going in on Tuesday. All good noise mods, if I had been willing to spend more I'd have gone for a Mugen exhaust.
Getting Geo done shortly as well
STB is next because it's cheap (thanks AE!) and then I'll put in a new Head Unit and Ipod adapter.

I'll probably do a little more bracing mods before doing suspension . When brakes need doing I'll start modding them but now that I'm used to the pedal feel I'm glad I didn't spend the money on them yet.

Do I detect another jock falling over to the darkside with his new purchase??

No mate,if i had went for modding it would've been on the current yellow peril.Maybe after i've had the new one for a year or so i'll consider it.I'll definitely have to make a point of coming to see your car,i'd like to hear what difference your mods have made.

K&N filter oil, engine sensors love a good coating of it.
Its not an expensive mod, yet....

Boab01 I've just ordered a Typhoon. Is it easy to fit?

Am I right in saying the Typhoon doesn't come with the heatshield that the GenII has?

Steve, can't say I did it as the company that sold me it offered to do it for free but having seen it done yes it's easy to fit.

No heatshield is correct but the pipe is prettier and it's a bit louder.

Been thinking about getting a K&N typhoon myself, but I read somewhere that they can affect the Hondas performance in an adverse way. Is that true - does it slow the car down at all?

Everyone who I knew ten years ago during our boy racer days swore by them. The cars seemed more responsive and sounded great too.

With the Typhoon, the filter just sits in the engine bay (at least with the Short Ram version)..........hence breathing in hot air. Not a good idea.

The FIPK protects it with the heatshield......at least partially.......

Yep the Typhoon makes the best noise but is marginally more prone to heat soak because it's exposed to the engine bay but I must say it's marginal and only when you've been sitting in traffic which I rarely am these days. Personally I'd go for the Gen2 if I did it again, alas I was coerced by the tube of a salesman at the tuning shop (he's had his books since!).
