Default Fitting Plugs

Getting some plugs fitted tomorrow from my local garage and just wanted to know (with all the issues on here about loose plugs etc) if the torque setting was a hard and fast rule?

From searching the torque setting should be between 18-20 is this right?

It is only the NGK OEM Platinums that are going in....

All in now - garage man thought it didn't sound too tight but told him to button it and do it anyway!

If this is wrong someone shout now or forever hold your peace....
