Default Fitting remote locking

Had my car for a couple of years now which has never had an alarm or remote locking due to a previous owner removing the H&P alarm, I'm assuming, so it's about time I fitted remote locking (not interested in an alarm).

After looking around the net, a Rightclick system seems to be recommended for most cars such as this one for £20 - http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info...oducts_id=1143

Seeing as lots of people have had the HP alarms removed over the years, has anyone got experience of upgrading their basic central locking to being remote + boot release? Guessing there will be wiring/modules/actuators etc remaining in the car from the original system so can anyone tell me where I'm looking and for what? Rightclick do a boot lease kit but I'm not sure this is needed due to the parts that may or may not be lurking.

Ta!

Your car had remote locking when it left the factory ... and before Honda UK installed the POS alarm.

I would have thought that if you get an original OEM keyfob a dealer would be able to code it for you ... and voila, you have remote locking and it will work every time with a single push of the button

That's similar to the remote. May not be the exact model. Anyone with a remote can give you the part number off the back. Keep looking for one for S2000. There was a thread about this a month or so ago and a buddy got a new remote and programmed it to his car.

If you can lock the doors electrically a remote should work.

Cheers bud yeah, the central locking works along with the the boot pop from the centre cubby but I've no idea what an original remote/fob looks like.

What a guy, cheers!

One of these theoretically should do the trick then:

Albeit the latter with a new case perhaps.

I've just relocated to Cardiff so I'll find my nearest Honda dealer and enquire. Many thanks.
