Gents,

got a delivery today and I was shocked when I opened the box, absolutely gutted when I saw the rocker cover. Do you know if this is fixable? insurance only covers £50!!

Is it worth the risk of a Fire due to oil on the manifold
could bend it out again, fill with liquid metal or weld it.
or scrap it..

that's right, with that risk in mind, I only look for a fix won't cause any more issue. Looks like it's going to be a key hanger instead of putting it on my car.

It might bend back but looks a bit brittle, I think it would end up snapping off. But with the split being on the correct side of the gasket I think you'd be fine for leaks.

But yeah, I'd be gutted too if I'd sent away for a J's teal refurb and it got damaged in transit

Who's sent it?

It's not been very well packaged with that kind of damage.

If you really can't return or get a refund, I'd bend it back out, weld, repair, re-paint.

It will break if you bend it, give it in to somewhere that deals with aluminium who should be able to heat it, bend it and weld it. Id think it wouldn't leak unless the gasket deformed there.

Definitely repairable. I'd bend that back out myself. I'd preferably apply some heat though.

Is it aluminium tig weld it to be safe, liquid metal is not good enough, however tig weld will burn off paint.

the box has a dent to it and also it was wrapped with a protection wrapping. I think the carrier must have dropped it! Sender is trying to make a claim, £50 that's what it's insured for.
