Surely that's been sent at the senders risk. when I send something I make sure the insurance covers the value or am prepared to take the risk. Contact the seller.

Good advice, Ratty.

I had to email photos of a broken heater to a supplier, which showed the injury to the box aligned with the injury to the unit. They sent ma a fresh one and told be to dispose of the ruined one.

Depends on the supplier's T&Cs, but hopefully he'll meet you at least half-way.

There's no oil pressure under the cam cover (if that's what it is, you haven't said) so it can be fixed, a weld repair would be less than the £50 compensation so that's covered. Then send it back to whoever painted it to have it re done at their expense.

Should be able to tig weld that just knock it back into shape first so the gasket seats properly, will need to be re coated after though.

o no! I assume this was sent from Paul over at Spooner restorations as it was only the other day he put up pictures of a J's F20 cover. It looks beautiful in the pictures! Paul is such a genuine guy i'm sure you will be able to get it sorted

Aha, a rocker cover, I see it now, rather than taking a chance I would take it to a specialist for a quote for repair.
