I've seen at least one guide on here which details how to use the old frame with a glass roof, it requires some drilling and some improvised elastic but it didn't seem particularly taxing for a grease monkey (ie not me).
I tried this but 2 roof repair / replacement companies refused to do it for me. They both advised that they had attempted and subsequently failed to make a successful conversion and did not want the hassle of chopped up roofs and frames and unhappy customers.

The blokes I used in Brighton were one of them and I'm pretty sure the other was the Carhood Warehouse.

Ask what they used and let us know. Someone will find out if it is their fault. If they say they don't know then then demand that they find out. Any good Valeter will know exactly what they used

ello! I work along Marsh Wall if you know it? The number for carhood warehouse is 0208 3915324.

I haven't had a chance to have a chat with wash place but I have remembered what they are called - ARC. Don't use them! What really irritates me is that I delibrately used ARC not the place next door as they seem to be a biggish chain.

I still think its a strange coincidence - the day before it was washed I put the roof down no problems. The day after the wash and the plastic shatters.
