Default Front Brake Pad advise please

Hi
Only had the 2000 a short time but i need to replace the front pads.
The Question is for fast road daily driving should i stick with OEM or change to after market pads???
If i go after market what does the job well?

For fast road, I'd stick with OEM. Until you're pushing on for track work, they're great.

There was a B.S ruling that came out in 2004 on brakes, you can not get really naff ones any more in the UK due to this British Standards regulation.

If you drive hard go for either OEM, Ferrodo or Mintex all very good IMO

Any IFA factor, the OEM pads are sold under the name ADL Blueprint.

The interesting thing about this regulation (I was told) was that it is illegal to put pads on that vary in performance by more than 10% (I think that was the figure)from the OEM spec. Interestingly this renders Ferodo DS2500's illegal, as they are more than 10% *better* than OEM. I think the phrase is, the law is an ass.

Not that it stopped me putting Ferodo's on, and they've been really good for both road and track.
