Default Front bumper??

I'm in the process of taking off the uk model number plate holder. I undid the two 10mm nuts and gave it a good tug but it has another two captive bolts which i think is only got at by removing the front bumper.
Has anybody removed one? Any hidden bolts i need know about?
Did a search but none of the links work.

Are you putting a sticky one on above the grille? Are you going to remove the H badge? Did this with my ex-wife's MX5 and it looked good. Not so sure about doing it on the S2000 though.

Thinking about it, if I get time this weekend, I'll doctor a photo to see what it might look like.

You will indeed need to remove the bumper. Its made a lot easier if you put the front of the car on axle stands. Just remember to carefully disconnect the headlight washer pipes or else!!

Otherwise its a fairly easy task. Really need two people when actually removing the bumber. I then filled the holes with resin and stuck the number plate over the top - looked fine.

Good Luck

I'll scan a picture in and post it over the weekend.

I am keeping the Honda badge on, and putting a very ilegal 70mm stickt number plate on just above the grill. It looks very mean!

Any chance of putting up a picture of the stick on number plate ?

And where did you get it from ?

I have been thinking about doing this since I got the car in August and a minor incident with some wildlife has meant that the car needs a new front bumper, so I have the opportunity of not having the numberplate holder put back on by the dealership.

Hope you can let me have the info.

Matt
