Default Front end knock

Ok so my s2000 has a front end knock, it does not do it at speed, i can throw the car around with no noise, but low speed turns i get a knock, does not matter if left or right lock is applied, does it both ways.

Info about the car;

Ohlin coilovers - just been serviced
Brand new front mugen caster bushes
Recent Geo
New drop links.

All suspension bolts have been undone and re-tightened except the adjusters as i did not want to throw the adjustment out.

anyone have any idea what it might be?

Are your Ohlins running The OEM rubber style top mounts or Spherical bearing type top mounts? The latter are known to emit knocking sounds when worn. Only takes half a .mm to create that god awful knock!

Funny, mine does the same with Ohlins on. I've been under the car a couple of times and checked everything is fully tightened up but it still does it as the OP describes.

If you have the Spherical bearing type top mounts, what's the solution, change to OEM?

Have you checked the subframe bolts? It's fairly common that they get loose.
I'm not sure it would make those kind of sounds though but might be worth checking anyways

I think its rubber? not 100% sure what you mean, i have the coil, then a rubber thing between the coil and the top hat thing? Nothing should be worn, they have just be returned from being serviced and all was said to be ok

Haven't checked the sub frame bolts but that was my guess, car is going for a new clutch soon, so i was waiting to see if that would sort the problem rather than having a go at tightening them myself as they will be loosened and re-torqued for the clutch.

Drop links are new and oem from hendy, i thought i might not have tightened them enough so i did go back undo them and tightened them as much as i possibly could without damaging the hex hole. Only thing the car was in the air (both sides of front) when i did tighten them, not sure if car needs to be on the ground

Yes they are DFV, Mick Gardner racing in barnsley rebuilt them for me, free of charge, as when i purhcased them one shock had a mark on it, gave me a brand new shock too, Total mileage on them is <6k miles around 14months old. Car was knocking before and after the rebuild, so its not the shocks, preload is set to what it should be in the manual, though i doubt they would knock as loud as i am getting with no large bumps on the ground if it was in fact the shock at fault

Car is booked in at Daytona auto's for the clutch 2nd of august, so hopefully he will be able to shed some light on it when i get their

Actually, just watched the video and my knocking is nowhere near as dramatic as that. I'll certainly be having a look at these top mounts though.

Sounds like a bolt catching on the half shaft/prop,
its That bad !!

ABS sensor & rota
Disc & shield area, could jack one front wheel up at a time and give it a spin

Oh something else just thought of is a turret spot welds snapped.
Rack bushes/loose/worn ect..
Sub-frame bolts,as said would also be good place to start.
