Always use Optimax if I can, nearly every garage in Southampton is Shell, its quite strange how many there are in a very close proximity.............I also use it to collect shell points

I use Ultimate as it's easier to get round here. Seems no different to Optimax.

BP Ultimate = copycat marketing campaign given the success of Shell with Optimax (i.e. rebranding what we all know to be SUL). In my book that's just lazy 'me to' marketing and therefore does not deserve my custom

...and Ultimate is more expensive than Opti where i live
...and i get double Plus points with Opti
...and i get trump cards with Opti
...and i think petrol should be associated with the colour RED as it's clearly never going to be good for the planet/environment, a message that BP seem to be trying to drive home by using GREEN

I have used Optimax since I bought the S.
Tried BP ultimate last week and did not notice any difference, so I will stick to Optimax.

I have always put Optimax in my S except for 3 occasions - each time no where near SUL so I bunged in

I often have no choice but to use boggo UL when in the far north of scotland - there is a noticeable difference, but it's not enormous. SUL seems to give a sharper throttle response. I imagine if you fill up with half a tank of 95 when you have already a half tank of 97 the difference is less apparent, so I suppose you could ease your way gradually into 95 without noticing it too much.
