IIRC, it's in the tank itself, not worth doing IMO

Fuel filter is inside the boot behind the carboard panel on the left side. (you see a the metal fuel pipe leading to the tank, its somewhere near there). To change it, IIRC you need to have the roof down and access it from behind the passanger seat. Its a huge job.

I have been told that its not an item that honda change during any of their service.

Theres 2 filters, actually the one specified is more like a sock (known as suction filter) that sits on the end of the pump.

But there is another filter inside the fuel tank itself IIRC its cylinder shaped - you'll never need to replace it unless you have serious problems and for that matter the sock itself, plus the tank is plastic.

Si found this out, when i looked into he is correct, so dealers just change the sock not the actual filter - its not 100% necessary. Yes Honda have it in the service schedule, but my dealer told me they have only changed one in the past @ 100k and it didnt even need changed it was just slightly discoloured.

You remove the rear parcel shelf to gain access to the fuel tank, its sits inside the tank itself, my car has well over 100k and theres nothing wrong with it.

GarageR a question for you. When you change the fuel filter do you mean in the fuel tank or this "sock".

Honda service manual page 11-101 shows you where about it is located in relation to the fuel tank itself.

page 11-113 shows you what you need to do to change it.

I did mine at 45k or 54k (can't remember which). It's a pain in the arse TBH. The swap is easy, but getting at it is a bugger, parcel shelf out etc.

Mine is being replaced by Honda on Saturday (not the one in the tank). They said it was only 3/4hr labour. So can't be that big of a job. £81 inc the filter!
