Default Gear Knob

Hello,

I did a quick search on gear knob's but am still undecided on what i want,

And can they be bought from the UK?

What's people opions on what Knob they have,

And pictures please,

Like the ARC TI i think it is, What do people think of this?

Does the lower down weighted work well?

Rick's and Muz look nice, Rather have a Smooth though and only Muz Option seams to be Textured but from pictures they did sell more?

Skunk 2 Looks pants (i think) but seams to be rated from what post i have seen,

Any other options out there?

Not keen on the Honda or Mugen ones, And no cheap Ebay tat,

My current gear knob is pretty badly scratched from dealer, Seams everyone who drove it must of worn lots and lots of rings,

Cheers,

Philip.

NineBolts has the ARC ti - its beautifully made, light and perfect for the S2000.

I dont like the shape of the Mugen gear knob. Spoon make a similar item to the ARC Ti knob.

I've got a Rick's one and had them ship it from the States. Shiny Black. I love it, my wife loves it. It sits quite a bit lower (inch and a half) so it sort of functions like a poor man's quick shift.

I would definately recomend this one.

Arc Ti

Not as heavy as many and a bit smaller. does change the feel of the shift quite a lot as does taking out the locking nut and lowering the knob. I also fettled with the leather gaitor a bit, taking out some of the slack and holding in place with a cable tie inside the gaitor.

A lot of the yank ones seem to lean towards bigger and heavier, the Arc is 45mm but would bennefit from a little more mass.

Thanks NineBolts,

Going to look at the ARC TI and compare to the TWM see what i like best,

Does the Gear knob lock with the nut off, I guess you just have to crank it down and fiddle till you get the pattern in the right place if you take it off?

Cheers,

Philip.

What do you think about a CR knob? (it's available with red lettering @ Hardtopguy.com)

Was thinking of replacing mine too. Is it easy to remove the OEM one?
