Default gearbox

When changing up through the gearbox the change is not clean. Each gear seems to just snick the following gear.
The clutch is fully depressed and even on a slow change the snick is often still there. There are no problems changing down through the box.
The car has done 45K. and is a 2005 model

I have had the car just 3 weeks and it was purchased from a Honda dealer.
Have I got a major problem?

Take it straight back to the dealer and don't take 'they all do that sir/madam' as an answer!

Sticking a bit in first when cold is not unusual (cured by changing the gearbox oil for me) but not all, all the time.

I would take it back ASAP and don't let them fob you off.

To be sure, you could try someone elses local to you. Gives you some more ammo against the dealer.

It should be a perfect / award winning gear change!

The S gearbox is undoubtedly tight and notchy when cold. Should smooth right out albeit still in a kinda snug rifle-bolt way when fully warm

Snickety yet smooth, metal on metal feel of the S gearchange is one of the most sublime things about the car.

It is not a knife-through-butter sensation. Much more dynamic than that. Love it!

Decent fluid helps when cold - but it shouldn't feel annoying or niticable when cold really.

Thanks for the comments. I have taken all the advice. It's booked into the dealer and I will be putting some new Honda MTF into the gearboxover the weekend.
Again thanks all.
