Doesn't seem too bad. Is this from Fenland ? They seem cheaper than most.
Searching for Fenland finds a website that's not in use. Maybe they're no more.
Anyone know how much a new clutch is?

I just signed up to the Parts Gateway and got 4 or 5 quotes within a few minutes.

a sure fire way to knacker a gearbox (any gearbox) is to rest your hand on the gearlever . im not saying you do this , its just an observation but this will very quickly wear away selector forks and rings
I *always* do that.
Having had a chat with someone who knows more than me, I think it's likely what I've done is bent the selector forks with track abuse, and possibly resting my hand on the gear lever hasn't helped.
I have a plan more or less in place now. Thanks all.

Is that true? How does that happen?

if you hold the lever, it puts pressure on the fork
this is ok when changing gear as there is oil between the friction surfaces.
but when you hold this pressure, even slightly without knowing, the oil cannot get between these surfaces so it wears quickly
i have changed many a selector ring and fork, even on fairly news cars due to abnormal wear

I had a problem that the box baulked the change into third at times, after a few complaints Honda fitted a new box, thank f*k for warranties.
