Default The genius strikes again!

I finally took a 70 mile trip up North to get my Geo done at Mr Frankins establishment.

I know my S is only a year old, but I've always thought prevention is better than cure, so I decided to have a full suspension strip, good ole copperslipping, Cusco upper and lower front braces fitted and replace the rear "bit of tin" with the Cusco jobber.

The removal of the suspension bolts was fairly easy and to be honest I had no idea that the S had so much adjustment in the geometry, I had corrosion on some of the bolts, but nothing was seized. Chris is always happy to answer questions and show you what he is doing, something I found very interesting and useful.

Once all the suspension had been put back the geometry was next on the "to do list", all I can say is the man knows his stuff, he set the car up to my driving style and how much motorway I do. Once all the geo was complete it was the test drive.....all I can say is someone has stolen my old S and replaced it with a very sweet handling car...just awesome....I also tried out the CG-Lock..nice bit of kit and really does act like a harness when you doing some "sprited driving".

Today I fitted the K&N Gen II to the car, so not only does it handle very nicely, but sounds lovely in the VTEC range.

I guess the moral of this story is to get this work done on the suspension about 6mth's to year after purchase (to allow the new suspension to settle), this will prevent seizure in the future. Also, I cannot recommend Chris highly enough and his Center Gravity business, he deserves to succeed!!

Sounds like he had more than just geo done - just call CofG for a quote.

All the prices are on his website, check the forms.

I have also returned from CG today.

As both myself and Karen are from engineering backgrounds we had an especially interesting day.

It's a refreshing change to meet customer service of this caliber.
Even for the non-technical out there, Chris's pitch and wit will hold your attention with ease.
If you want to have a play, then bring some old clothes as this is certainly an option for the budding mechanics!

End results exceeded all expectation. Knowing there is a small issue with setup is one thing, driving (or being driven in!) a properly sorted car is a phenominal transformation.

This car if badly set up can make you feel crap, no doubt about it.
The simple confidence boost from a well tuned car will improve your 'smile per mile' ratio in spades.

Pick up the phone, the wait is getting longer!

A week on now and the car is getting better. My tyres are still being driven in so the steering wheel is still slightly off to the left and easier to turn left as well.

Only 5 days until I am off to the "Ring"!!
