Default Geo random problem?

I've just got a new set of wheels and and put them all on the car just to see how they look as the car is still on axle stands and off the road since November.

Fronts fit fine.
The rears tho.........

I put on the rear off side and all looked lovely, I'm happy. I put on the rear near side and it sticks out from the wheel arch!
I check that offset wheel hoping Rota shop had shipped out the wrong offset but no this was correct. I then swapped the rears incase there was a production fault but the other was exactly the same.
I decided to measure the distance from the subframe to the top of the disc hoping my chassis isn't buggered. Luckily it doesn't seem to be because I got different figures.

Subframe- top of brake disc approx figures:
Rear off side: 46.5cm
Rear near side: almost 49cm

My question is, do the spherical bolts have that much movement in them to cause this and are they at their opposite most extremes on the different sides or do I have a bigger problem?

Just about to refit my subframe , was wondering about location because the 6 bolts that go through the subframe are like dicks in buckets . I know about the collars that are available but really couldn't justify the cost myself for what my car will be doing in the future. But having had a quick look i doubt that the subframe would be able to move more than 2 or 3 mm and that presumes all 6 bolts sit centrally in each hole, I doubt even Honda could fabricate either the subframe or the body shell that accurately,

I will report back this evening as i do intend taking some photo's as we put the subframe back on.

Perhaps your Geo is totally tits up

I'm hoping it is the Geo. the previous wheels were the standard 16s so never noticed it until now

I am pretty sure I thought the same when I started looking at mine but it doesn't seem uncommon for there to be a slightly different offset from one side to the other. I asked Dixon about it as he sees a lot of cars and he said its quite common. Your measurements seem quite big, but I've never checked mine tbh. Only looked like 5mm or something.

I'll get some pictures next time I'm at the yard to show the difference.
I'm thinking the geo bolts might be 180 degrees out when they done the geometry

twibs , I am pretty sure we don't have rear trailing arms, I could go down the road and take pics of a Landrover defender .

So are you talking about the upper or lower wishbone mounts on the subframe or the toe arm mounts
