At least if its Gloss it will take hours to set this weather. So you need to get it off whilst its still soft. I have had this problem many years ago. What I did was to get some white spirit on a cloth and go over the area and take the paint off. After you will need to wash the car with some neutral detergent and then get some polish on.

If you can do this you should be ok and shouldn't damage the paint on the car.

Good luck

Dave

The liners and tyres sound expensive - is this an insurance job or maybe the police know who dropped the paint and you can claim from them?

You can alway paint the inner liners with a matt black paint, thats not a problem. If you do find any paint on the body at a later date you can follow the same procedure.
