Default Greddy Turbo Kit

As title really.

I realise it's for the US market, will this mean it can't fit our RHD S2Ks?

Pros and cons over a SC???

InlinePro seem to do a GT34 turbo kit for $3,999. Looks good. EMS needed though.

PS - Does Mase tune the Greddy Emanage - anybody know?

Nick i've been reading up on this and it seem's that they are doing a right hand version, i'm not sure what the pro's and cons are though, well apart from getting the turbo fitted. You can install a SC on your own!! That why i went SC

I like the idea of installing it myself. I'm quite competant at things like that. I built my own car from shell up a few years ago.

Good thread going on in the US FI forum -

Itchy I was in Whitley Bay the other week - should have looked you up! Was there for a wedding.

S/C is linear, so think of it as an S on steriods.

Turbo should develop more power low down, but depending on the compressor curve, may well deliver power to the redline also.

On the scoob the power tails off towards the redline, on an Evo its linear. All about turbo selection!

I'd say S/C is much more tried and tested option, and is less harsh on the engine and car.

You can fit a turbo yourself too, just have to remove the ex manifold.

Pros and cons to both!

Whereabouts was the wedding Mark? It was baltic over the weekend!!

I like the idea of SC as it's linear and doesn't stress the engine as much. Surely 10psi on a turbo is the same as 10psi on a sC though?

Also, 2nd hand SCs go for $3k over on the US boards which is appealing!!

I would as its a doddle to fit especially if you have a mechanical background and the power increase is phenomenal, and if you get stuff i'm only down the road Did you check my post out with the vid?

Linden Hall was where it was at, but was staying with a relative in Whitley!

With a S/C being driven off the crank, it only delivers 10 psi at a certain point in the rev range, where a turbo can hold 10 psi for most of a rev range (depending on turbo and actuator setting)

Hence the linear vs power all the time characteristic.

Gotcha!

Linden Hall hey! Very posh! It's beautiful there!

Do you know the differences between the kit as for the LHD and RHD problems?
