Is it really that good.

I had a PS2 earlier on this year which I won in a competition, it also had 4 games.
The games were crap so I sold the lot.

I think it's amazing. The gameplay hasn't really improved over the original GT but I wouldn't hold that against it.

With all the tuning mod's it's difficult to know whether it's realistic.... However, the S2K car dynamics seem pretty much there!

Have a go AnDy and then get the cheque book out!

Normal or Type-V?

You can't buy the normal and I haven't won it yet. (I think you need to enter the 'Stars and Stripes' stuff which I haven't bothered with yet.

Excuse my ignorance but I presume this strings things is some sort of net connection???

My PS2 is currently 'plumbed into' the telly.

I don't know what peripherals you guys have on your P.C. but currently on my desktop are:-

CPU
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Large graphics tablet
Zip drive
2 speakers (Base woofer on floor)
Cable modem
USB Hub
Palm Pilot Cradle
Nikon camera interface
Flatbed scanner
A3 printer
Midi cables to my Korg keyboard
Thrustmaster steering wheel
Pedals to the above on the floor

Please enlighten me Andy, as to where I put the PS2
I have nightmares about this lot crashing at it is

Fcuk me, have you got enough kit No wonder your worried about it crashing (Jammy git though for having broadband.... In a Cable & Wireless retarded area - my BT Business Highway connection is still not setup....).

Leave the telly & PS2 where they are.
The Technical Strings is one of the test courses where there are a long series of very technical and challenging corners. (It looks like spagetti jn...). I can't get my Skyline round it!

Go to your garage (on the PS2) and then there's an option for runs & settings. There's all the test courses for you to blast around at.

The strings course is one of the low res courses but the car dynamics seem much more accurate. I'm sure Brian & Jon can explain how these guys cram so much into so little memory

I think it's going to take me a good couple of weeks to crack some of these corners.....

Memorable moment - going over the back set of uneven curves and getting airborne. Really didn't like the sickening thump.....

Three laps and I'm shattered...
