I desperately need a stand for mine - but firstly I need a HOIST. I`ve read all the threads, bought, homemade, converted bike pullers. Has any1 any experience with actual use of these solutions?

I`m sick of saying `Mrs Cheshire Carper, will you please come and help me take the roof of my car`. I need to be able to take it off and on, on my own. I have no intention of leaving it dangling (ooer). I purely wish to winch the roof up a little, reverse out of the garage and lower to the floor until I come back in then stick the roof back on the vehicle.

Any advice welcomed - as I`ve decided to trip to a B+Q on the way home to see what I can muster up,

cheers

I have the same problem with assistance, particularly as I mostly live alone during the week. As my house was built in the era of Austin A30's and Ford Prefects; I can't get my car into the garage. I therefore need either a very strong and highly trained bird of prey or a really big r/c airship

Thanks for all the replies, I've decided to go for this stand & cover from Germany as the Honda one is way to big & expensive as for the Hardtop I'll have to ring around & see if I can get the best Quote. Moor deybe where did you get yours fitted & how did you get such a good priceLink to Hardtop Stand & Cover

I got it done at Lookers Nottingham 0115 9863222 Mick Fell (Parts Manager).

Hazdjc was in the showroom negotiating his current car and passed on the information that they'd do them for
