Default Hardtop Question...

Just wondering if its okay to put the hardtop on even if the soft top is a bit wet after raining...

Its been raining here for the last while and am going to collect my hardtop after getting it painted but the softtop will be damp..Is it still okay to put the hardtop on..??

Should be okay if you dry it with a towel.

If you are intending to put the hardtop on just to get it home, I don't see a problem. If you are intending to keep the hardtop on, I would say the soft top should be dry.

Maybe run the heater full blast for a few minutes before fitting the hardtop and as Chris suggests, dry the outside the best you can.

Just dry it whenever you have time and don't leave it fold it wet for too long otherwise it will get moulded (think i got the right word )

Also make sure the soft top folds flat in the roof well. Sounds silly but sometimes when you put the roof down it doesn't fold away as much as it should. Making sure it's nice and warm before folding it down will help. I always know mines not folded away properly because I can see it in the rear view mirror.

Didnt really have to worry bout it in the end...Went down to collect my roof and put it on outside the garage...Reversed it back inside the garage into the light..When reversed back into the light noticed that it was slight a different colour..

It was painted b63p instead of b66p....Could only happen to me...If youre giving a paint code to your painter make sure that hes not talking to anyone when writing it down...
