Headlight auto leveller
I'm trying to get the headlights up a bit, as the spread of light coming from these headlights is poor to say the least. (I have about 1second's worth of light at about 45mph).
I'm going to try the auto leveller first - everything on it is free moving, so just need to know if i need to shorten or lengthen it to raise the beam. (Can't see the lights when I'm under the car
)
Thanks
Andy

I had the same issue, use the adjusters on the back of the headlights to bring them up to a better level if the auto adujster is all free moving.
You need a long philips screw driver or an 8mm ratchet spanner with a flexi end

Okay, if I have my brain in gear, you want to turn the screwdriver clockwise to raise the beam.
edit
You were asking about shortening the adjuster, well if it's designed to lower the headlights with weight in the boot then shortening it will bring the lights up - not sure how much room for adjustment you have on the threaded bar though and that's if it's not seized.

Thanks guys. The benefit of the auto adjuster is that I don't have to fanny about with each headlight separately.
It's definitely not seized up either. Been nailing it with carb cleaner and a tiny wire brush. Nuts unscrew nice and easy - you just have to be under the car!!

But then you still need to check they are both the same height first, and it's better to have the auto adjuster set to spec first then do the headlamp adjustment so then you know the auto adjuster is not going to run out of range if you load up the car. if you see what I mean, I has an advisory because one light was out, if you just rely on the auto adjuster you could be in the same boat.
Ok i see what you mean. Does anyone know what the spec should be? (Height of beam at a certain distance?)
All I can see in the manual is that the top of one should be higher than the other.
