Default Headlight washers

I've just realised that I've had my S for nearly two years now....... and I haven't used the headlight washers once!....... in fact I have no idea if they even work...... come to think of it I don't even know where the switch is to operate them!!!!!

With a car that is lovingly washed so often they are a complete waste of space for me!

Does anyone ever use them?

I use them "Once in a blue moon".

These blue moon occur mainly during summer on the wamest of days and usually at pedestrian crossing when cute girls in not much clothing walk past the front of the car.

The cloud of spray soaks them and get a big on my face. I get called some horrible names and then just explain that I apologise but I was just looking after the car's appearance and did not mean any offence. All innocent like.

Works a treat. Gve it a try on a hot day is my advice.

I, like many of the MY99-MY01 owners, have them disabled.

Never used them - actually tell a lie. I was dusting the dash and accidently pressed the washer button, much to my annoyance!!!!

No more ugly washers on my car.

So that's what they are! I thought they were to stop the bugs hitting the headlamps on the motorway.

Cool!

Never use them, car is usually too clean. However when I went to Scotland in the Audi S3 I did use them with all the salt being sprayed onto the car as they did dull, but the washers were not all that effective at getting rid of the crap anyway.

I thought they were really ugly as well in the S2, on the S3 they are flush and hidden. When my car was in for its recent repairs I managed to get them colour coded, and I think it makes a huge improvement.

The odd thing about them is, from the guys I have chatted to in the US boards, they are really jealous of us having them.

I guess everybody wants what they cannot have.

Sometimes used when traveling the M62 during the winter and your getting caked with all sorts of muck from the road.

I answered 'once in a blue moon' and those occasions were only when I accidentally leaned on the button.
My dealer very kindly reconnected the plug once after I unplugged the switch.
